BURR LOADING SPEEDS AND TEETH TYPE

Carbide Burr Loading speeds and Tooth types

All burrs are suitable for deburring, cutting and polishing of carbon steel, alloys, etc

up to 65 HRC

there are 3 types cutters available:

1. Rapid Cut - Specially made for softer materials such as plastics , rubber , and Non Ferrous materials. The Rapid cut burrs eliminate the problem of Burr loading in machining soft sticky materials,

2. Double Cut - standard type of cutters, have high control over cut and chip control

3. Chip breaker - Suited to harder metals were fast stock removal and reduced chips are required, metals over 60HRC

Recommended operating speeds:

Shank: Speed RPM

3 64,000 - 75,000

6 32,000 - 38.000

8 24,000 - 28,000

Safety recommendations

* Work piece and tool should be well supported

* Note burs should nor be used to mill large areas of materials, cutters are ideally suited to low stock removal high speeds.

* insure that at least 70% of the shank is clamped while in use

* always use the tool at the recommended speeds
